I have been considering (with some external prompting) writing a regular newsletter that would include comments/analyses of Amazonian languages (not just Piraha), including some unpublished stuff of mine I have accumulated over the past 40 years. It will also talk about Charles S. Peirce (about whom I am now writing two books), the nature of language, problems of various kinds I have encountered in field research (both methodological and personal, including raising children in the jungle), and a lot more, including travels in Brazil, my take on university administration, teaching in different cultures, learning languages, etc. A potpourri (i.e. random) collection of things that interest me, including perhaps gossip.
